AMIR Fund Medical Scholarship Program
Up to 20 full-tuition scholarships for high-achieving medical and dental students from low-income households and faith-based minority communities. Applications close Friday, 30 October 2026.
Talent should decide who becomes a doctor, not fees
Medicine and dentistry are among the longest and most demanding courses at a Nigerian university. Many of the most able students reach 200 Level with excellent results, but their families can no longer keep up with tuition and mandatory fees. Some take on work that pulls them from their studies. Others pause their degrees, and some never return.
The AMIR Fund Medical Scholarship Program exists to stop that loss. It pays full tuition and mandatory fees directly to the university, renews each year until graduation, and pairs every scholar with a mentor. In return, scholars keep their grades up and give back through community health outreach, so the support reaches patients as well as students.
The programme reflects the founders' own story. Scholarships arrived for them at a time of need, and they want the next able student from a low-income household or a faith-based minority community to finish the course and serve.
